As a technology leader in the rapidly growing automotive cockpit electronics market, Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) presented its latest driving information and display technology at the 2017 Shanghai International Auto Show from April 19th to 23rd. Visteon demonstrates a full range of all-digital driving information and displays with a full range of image quality and brightness, and highlights the more free-form design of digital instruments.

Car-driving information, like the consumer electronics industry, is rapidly evolving toward full digitalization. With the development of new models and autonomous driving technology, large-scale high-definition displays are becoming the main interface for users. In the next five years, fully reconfigurable driving information is expected to account for 80% of the market. Visteon pioneered the technology and became the market leader in all-digital driving information.

Visteon President and CEO Sachin Lawande said: "As more digital content is introduced into the cockpit, driving information is shifting from mechanical and hybrid meters to configurable all-digital displays. The display screen, people are very concerned about the design and materials of the display and instrument can be achieved."

At the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show, Visteon demonstrated a range of driving information from entry to high end. The large HD display is available in 3D, all-digital, mixed digital/analog, and a dashboard with facial recognition and surveillance cameras. Highlights of the show include a prismatic display consisting of two 12.3-inch TFT displays and a half-reflector in the middle.

The on-site information display products include dual OLEDs and dual-screen displays that display different content according to different viewing angles, such as the driver side displaying navigation information and the passenger side displaying the played video.

Automakers can use the digital meter to provide drivers with new menus and information with air-ups to prevent driving information from getting obsolete during the life of the vehicle. In addition, digital instrument depth image technology has attracted more and more people's attention. This technology can realize three-dimensional effect and make people have an immersive experience.

Mr. Lu Kejian, President of Visteon China, said: “The main advantage of all-digital display is the ability to handle complex, diverse and varied information. With the development of intelligent network and autonomous driving technology, the use environment is complicated and complex, we are at design time. Must be flexible and must redesign the display based on new content."

Visteon recreates the in-vehicle user experience with its high-quality displays with its experience in graphics rendering, optics and display, as well as sophisticated automation and clean room technology.
