The operating characteristics of the sensor can be divided into the following categories:

(α) Static characteristics are the descriptions of sensor performance under indoor conditions without any shock, vibration, acceleration (unless they are themselves measured), and when the measured changes are very slow. Indoor conditions are generally specified as: 25 degrees Celsius 10 degrees Celsius, relative humidity less than 90%, air pressure 88-108KPa.

(b) Dynamic characteristics are the relationship between measured measurements over time and sensor response.

(c) Environmental characteristics are the performance exhibited by the sensor when specific external conditions (such as temperature, vibration, shock) are applied to the sensor. The former is called "running environment feature" and the latter is called "non-running environment feature".
