MediaTek demonstrated its wearable device chip solution Aster at its new brand launch, which is only 5 & TImes; 5 mm in size, including microprocessor, Bluetooth and other functions.
MediaTek today announced its new brand proposition “creating infinite possibilities†and the new spiritual connotation “inclusiveâ€, hoping that its products cover more market segments.
When introducing its full line of product solutions, MediaTek demonstrated its Aster, a wearable device chip solution. This solution includes a microprocessor, Bluetooth low energy, control panel, memory, and input interface.
MediaTek said the solution, only 5 & TImes; 5 mm size, MediaTek said that this product is currently the industry's smallest wearable solution.
MediaTek said that Aster has a mature software ecosystem, based on MediaTek's multi-billion-function software architecture, which can immediately have a large number of software personnel and software vendors to develop. And MediaTek has a patented "capsule" that can be used to push software to wearables via a smartphone.
In terms of mass production, MediaTek said Aster will ship in the second quarter of this year. For specific product shipments, it is based on the time schedule of the wearable manufacturer.
