The instrument adopts the principle of leverage to amplify the length of the pressure arm. Under the limited space and limited weight quality conditions, the thickness of the sample is tested under the pressure conditions of 2 kPa, 20 kPa and 200 kPa. The instrument is simple in structure, elegant in appearance and easy to operate. It is the first choice for the production and verification of geotextile and geomembrane thickness. The instrument is suitable for GB/T13761 «Method for measuring the thickness of geotextiles», T1112-2006 «thickness measurement», ISO9863:1990 «Method for measuring the thickness of geotextiles under fixed pressure» SL/T235-2012. It is an indispensable instrument for all kinds of geotextile and geomembrane thickness testing.

Instrument installation and test method

3.1 Instrument installation:

3.1.1 After unpacking the instrument, clean the packaged wood chips and other dust particles with a clean soft cotton cloth, place them on the work surface at the appropriate height, and place a soft and moderate rubber plate under each of the four corners.

3.1.2 Turn the bottom corner adjustment screw to view the level to make the bubble centered, and make the four soles touch the rubber plate firmly.

3.1.3 Place the accessory box attached to the instrument next to it for backup.

3.2 Test steps:

3.2.1 The tester must sample according to the relevant test method standards, so that the sample is in the test state that meets the requirements of the method standard.

3.2.2 Hold the cam handle in the right hand counterclockwise to make the cam lift the entire weight of the pressure plate and the pressure weight hanging on the right side of the pressure plate.

3.2.3 Remove the replaceable presser foot under the pressure plate and select the presser foot type according to the thickness of the test sample. Geomembrane composite material with 0.5 gauge adapted geomembrane, No. 5 adaptation test 0.5~5mm thickness range, geotextile composite material with 10~10mm thickness range for adaptability test, geotextile synthesis of 15~10mm thickness range material.

3.2.4 Select the replaceable presser foot, clean the reference plate and presser foot surface with a clean soft cloth, and put the presser foot on the reference plate again. Note that the triangular blade on the presser foot is aligned with the inverted V-groove under the platen.

3.2.5 Selection and installation: Measure the dial gauge of geotextile selection. (Measure the geomembrane to select the dial gauge, note: the dial gauge is self-matching). Insert it into the hole of the table frame. When the contact on the table touches the upper end surface of the presser foot, move it slightly downward by 0.1~0.2mm and screw the nut. Then clear its table (or zero).

3.2.6 Gently lift the replaceable presser foot and insert the sample naturally between the reference plate and the presser foot. Put down the presser foot, and let the sample be subjected to a pressure of 2kPa±0.01kPa. At the same time, the ammeter is timed, and when the sample is pressed for 30s, the dial gauge (or dial gauge) value is read.

3.2.7 Repeat the above operation to complete the specified number of test pieces.

3.3 Choose different test pressures as needed:

3.3.1 The test specimen is tested under a pressure of 20 kPa. After repeating step 3.2.6, the pressurizing weight 1 is hung on the hanging ring on the right side of the pressure plate, and then the cam handle is rotated clockwise with the right hand. When the weight of the pressurization is completely supported by the triangular blade of the replaceable presser foot, the timepiece is counted at the same time, and the dial gauge (or dial gauge) value is read when the sample is pressed for 30 seconds.

3.3.2 The test specimen is tested under the pressure of 200Pa. After repeating the step of step 3.2.6, the pressurizing weight 1 and the pressurizing weight 2 are simultaneously hung on the hanging ring on the right side of the pressure plate, and then the cam handle is clockwise with the right hand. The direction of rotation is that when the weight of the pressurization is completely supported by the triangular blade of the replaceable presser foot, the stopwatch is used to time, and the value of the dial gauge (or dial gauge) is read when the sample is pressed for 30 seconds.

3.4 Each test result must be manually recorded and calculated. The test results and test reports are based on the test method standard requirements and the production process requirements.

Instrument use precautions

4.1 The instrument must be placed in a laboratory that is free of chemical corrosion and away from the vibration source, otherwise it will affect the test results.

4.2 Any one of the replaceable pressers has its own specified weight and shape, and is combined with its press plate and weight weight 2 to produce a set of relevant weights, which should be properly kept during use and must not damage the geometry or contact with chemical corrosion products. .

4.3 When the instrument is shipped from the factory, the relationship between the adjustment ç £ and the pressure fulcrum has been adjusted. The user should not arbitrarily change the positional relationship of the adjustment , to avoid affecting the total pressure of the sample.

4.4 In the course of use of the instrument, if there is a serious deviation of the test accuracy, please ask the professional to repair, so as not to make a false test report.
