How to choose LED bulbs

With the gradual maturity of LED lighting technology, there are a large number of LED bulbs on the market that replace incandescent bulbs or energy-saving lamps. How do you choose to face a variety of bulbs?

First, the relevant standards

At present, the following national standards have been adopted for LED bulbs:

1.GB24906-2010 Safety requirements for self-ballasted LED lights above 50 V for general lighting

2.GB/T24908-2014 Performance requirements for non-directional self-ballasted led lamps for general lighting

3.GB30255-2013 non-directional self-ballasted LED lamp for general lighting energy efficiency limit value and energy efficiency rating

Among the above three standards, GB24906 and GB30255 are mandatory standards, and GB/T24908 is the recommended standard. GB24906 specifies the most basic electrical and mechanical safety requirements. GB30255 specifies the minimum energy efficiency requirements for bulbs and the classification of energy efficiency. GB/T24908 specifies the performance requirements for the quality and luminous efficiency of bulbs.

Second, the naming method

The model name of the bulb is composed of five parts, as shown in Figure 1. Among them, the first part BPZ is the code of the bulb lamp; the second part is the luminous flux specification of the lamp; the third part is the light distribution type, there are three types, the full light distribution (code is O), the quasi-all-light distribution (code is Q And semi-light distribution (code S, can be omitted); the fourth part is the color characteristics of the lamp, using color rendering index code (8 means no less than 80, 9 means high color rendering index) and tone code combination representation; The five parts are supplementary parts, which can be the lamp head model or other information.

Third, purchase key indicators

Light effect

It reflects the energy-saving characteristics of the light source, and the unit is lm/W. The higher the value, the better the energy-saving effect of the lamp. National standards require at least 60 lm / W or more, many products can reach 90 lm / W, good products can reach 110 lm / W or more.

2. Color rendering index

Evaluate the color rendering ability of the light source to the object. The value is 0-100. The larger the value, the closer the color response of the light source to the real color. Generally required to be above 80, 90 or more indicates that the color rendering of the lamp is very good.

3. Life expectancy

At present, the national standard requires the life of LED bulbs to reach 25,000 hours. If the lamps work 8 hours a day, they can work for nearly 8 years.

Fourth, purchase considerations

1. Look at the appearance of packaging

The national standard GB24906 mandates that LED bulbs be marked with the following on the lamp: rated voltage or voltage range, rated power, rated frequency, source marking (in the form of a trademark, manufacturer or vendor name). The quality of the high-quality products is better, the logo is clear and identifiable, and there are manufacturers' addresses, contact information and relevant certification marks.

2. Look at the color temperature

At present, the product mainly has two kinds of colors, one is warm color, that is, yellowish light; the other is cold color, that is, white light. Warm light gives a warm feeling, suitable for use in hotels, hotels and bedrooms; cool colors give people a sense of refreshment, used in office and living room lighting.

3. Look at the power

LED bulbs are mainly available in 3W, 5W, 7W, 9W, and 11W sizes, and can be selected according to lighting needs. According to the luminous efficacy of 90 lm / W, the 5W bulb is roughly equivalent to a 40W incandescent lamp.

4. See performance indicators

Focus on light efficiency, color rendering index and longevity. Enterprises generally give the above parameters on the product or in the manual. At present, the light efficiency level of the lamp is 90lm/W. Some enterprises do not directly mark the value, but mark the power and luminous flux. We use the luminous flux/ The value obtained by the power is roughly the luminous efficacy level of the product; the color rendering index is required to be above 80; the lifetime should be more than 25,000 hours.
