The completion and operation of the Jiaxing Jingdian project has changed the current status of domestic LED sapphire wafers completely dependent on imports. It is expected that the project will occupy more than 50% of the domestic market after the project is put into production. At the same time, the project side is eager to explore the international market and meet the demand of large-scale sapphire wafers from high-end foreign customers.
According to the relevant person in charge of Qingdao High-tech Zone, the commissioning of this project marks that Qingdao's electronic home appliance industry cluster has broken through a technical barrier, filling the gap of China's LED sapphire wafer substrate material, which will greatly enhance the LED industry in Qingdao.
