Hainan Electric "single ring" becomes "double ring"

On the morning of the 18th, the 220 kV double ring network project in the east of Hainan Power Grid was officially completed and put into operation, marking the historic leap from the “single ring network” to the “dual ring network” of Hainan Grid’s 220 kV main grid.

According to reports, the total investment of 185 million yuan in the eastern part of Hainan Power Grid 220 kV double loop network project in Hainan this year is a key power grid construction project, Hainan Power Grid is also an important component of the "double ring network" target main grid structure. The project consists of a total length of 156 kilometers, consisting of 220 kV Kwun Tong to Redstone II circuit project, 220 kV Hongshi to Wenluo II circuit project and 220 kV Wenluo to Da Mao II circuit project. Through five cities and counties: Qionghai, Wanning, Sanya, Lingshui and Baoting.

Hainan Power Grid company official said that after the project is put into operation will further strengthen the main grid structure of Hainan power grid, effectively improve the power supply reliability and ability to resist natural disasters in Hainan power grid, to better serve the construction of Hainan international tourism island and Hainan economy Social development.

In the next five years, Hainan Power Grid plans to invest 23 billion yuan to fully promote the construction of Hainan power grid, and strive to build a characteristic island with a reasonable structure, advanced technology, intelligence, efficiency, safety and reliability, and resource conservation, to provide power security for Hainan construction.
