As a company specializing in the production of energy-saving light sources, which has been listed in 1993, Foshan Lighting expressed strong support and deep gratitude for the state's policy of compulsory procurement of energy-saving light sources. In this way, I would like to express some views on our energy-saving lamp manufacturers.
First, the implementation of the national compulsory procurement of energy-saving products policy is conducive to the promotion of the national energy-saving awareness. We hope that the national compulsory procurement policy will drive the awareness of energy conservation in the whole society, not only the support of national institutions for energy-saving products, but also the awareness of energy conservation to the whole society.
Second, energy-saving products are both short-term and long-term benefits. In the early days of the development of energy-saving lamps, many ordinary people said: “Energy-saving lamps do not save money.†In fact, we have also calculated an account, taking an 11-watt energy-saving lamp and comparing a 60-watt incandescent lamp. The 11-watt energy-saving lamp uses 4 hours a day, which saves 71 kWh per year compared to incandescent lamps. Since China's electricity consumption in lighting accounts for 10%-12% of total electricity consumption, according to previous data estimates, the electricity consumption of lighting in China has reached about 170 billion-200 billion kWh, equivalent to 2 to 3 If the power generation of the Three Gorges Reservoir can be replaced by 1.2 billion energy-saving lamps in China, it will save the electricity generated by the Three Gorges Reservoir. Therefore, energy-saving products are both short-term and long-term benefits, and this economic benefit is easy to see. Now, the use of energy-saving lamps to replace incandescent lamps has reached international consensus. In February of this year, Australia has made it clear that by 2010, incandescent lamps will be banned throughout Australia and energy-saving lamps will be gradually replaced. In March, 27 countries in the European Union also passed an agreement to ban the use of incandescent lamps in 2009, and energy-saving lamps will replace all incandescent lamps.
Third, it is hoped that policy support will be given to national brands through compulsory procurement. Mainly from the taxation and procurement aspects of the policy tilt, so that some of China's technology-prestige companies can benefit from government procurement, so that our enterprises are effectively supported at the national policy level.
