In October 2008, China launched the “Regulations on Energy Conservation in Public Institutionsâ€, requiring government agencies at all levels to incorporate energy-saving products and equipment into the government's centralized procurement catalogue and strictly monitor energy consumption. It is precisely because of the implementation of these two regulations that the local government procurement of LED and other related energy-saving products, the source of the law, LEDinside expects that in 2009, government units at all levels will gradually implement various energy-saving policies, and purchase a large number of related energy-saving products.
In addition, the State Council proposed "10 measures to further expand domestic demand and promote economic growth", and will invest 4 trillion yuan in succession, half of which will be used to develop infrastructure. LEDinside is optimistic that the LED industry will benefit from this government policy.
At present, in the development of LED industry in various provinces, in April 2007, in order to support the development of LED and solar photovoltaic industry, Fujian Province issued the “Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Development of LED and Solar Photovoltaic Industry in Fujian Province (2007-2010)â€, which is China. The first province to introduce such policies, Fujian Province has also started the construction of LED and photovoltaic industry public technology service platforms such as LED and photovoltaic electronic test platform, LED and photovoltaic application product design platform.
In February 2009, the Information Industry Department of Fujian Province specially held a conference on LED energy-saving lighting products to attract nearly 30 major application companies and nearly 20 LED operators in the province. In addition, Fujian Province also actively introduced Taiwan-funded enterprises with strong technical strength. Foreign-invested optoelectronic enterprises will further improve the LED industry chain.
