Chen Zhong said that due to different standards, Taiwanese businessmen invest in Xiamen, the LED products produced can not meet the mainland standards, and the LED companies in Xiamen are OEMs of Taiwanese manufacturers, and the products produced may not meet the requirements of the other party. It is necessary to develop common standards.
Chen Zhong said that the School of Physics and Mechanical Engineering of Xiamen University has established cooperative relationships with dozens of semiconductor lighting companies in Xiamen to provide technology research and development, technical support, personnel training and testing services.
Most patents in the LED industry are in the hands of foreign companies, and they are subject to high patent fees for production in foreign countries. In response to the problems in China's LED industry in terms of product quality and key technologies, Xiamen Science and Technology Bureau will organize leading enterprises such as Hualian Electronics and Sanan Electronics to work together with Xiamen University to jointly tackle key technologies for high-efficiency and high-power semiconductor lighting and solve key problems.
