The Institute of Nanophotonic Materials of Nanjing University of Science and Technology has made a series of research progress in the application of carbon fluorescent materials and white LEDs. The results have been published in the important publications such as "Scientific Reports" by Nature Publishing Group and "Angewandte Chemie International Edition" by Wiley Publishing House, Germany. The first author is Li Xiaoming, a graduate student at the institute. The research was funded by the National Major Scientific Research Program and the National Fund's Outstanding Youth Fund.
