The winner is...

Our jury finally selected a vision-based drone autonomous project designed and built by Akash Dhamasia of Bangalore, Anatak, India. Akash's idea was to add the onboard video processing of the DragonBoard 410c to the drone so that it could determine its position and navigate itself without GPS signals. He envisioned indoor autonomous flights for applications such as 3D modeling, rescue operations, and surveillance. (This is a video submitted by Akash)
