Expand the world of HDBaseT to meet all needs in the AV field
Beijing, China – April 12, 2017 – The HDBaseT Alliance unveiled at the 2017 China International Audiovisual Integrated Equipment and Technology Show (InfoComm China) and launched new demonstrations, products and solutions at the EB4-01 booth. The HDBaseT Alliance is a cross-industry organization dedicated to advancing the HDBaseT standard and is designed to continuously expand HDBaseT products to meet the evolving needs of the audiovisual industry. The Alliance announced the launch of a 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 (18G) transmission solution and will release an additional IPBase-based HDBaseT extension as soon as possible.
To transmit a full 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 (18G), HDBaseT uses visual lossless compression to limit latency to a few microseconds to ensure the highest video quality and performance. Prior to the official launch of the next-generation HDBaseT chipset, HDBaseT could support higher bandwidth, which would enable higher throughput transmissions and would support uncompressed HDMI 2.0.
IP-based HDBaseT will be extended based on the current capabilities of the HDBaseT solution, which will bring several advantages:
• Standardized solutions through Ethernet PHY to drive 5Play interoperability between different vendors;
• Connect to traditional ProAV and IP worlds with existing installation settings;
• Enhance versatility to integrate different products, from indoor to peer-to-peer to large-scale cross-campus installations;
• Comply with HDCP, etc.

The 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 solution demonstration will be on display at InfoComm China 2017 (Booth #1 booth EB4-01) at the HDBaseT Alliance booth.
