Asus launches new ZenPad tablet to dismantle Atom and use MediaTek chipset

Tencent Digital (Yi Jing) Last year, Asus introduced the ZenPad S 8.0 tablet, which is the latest ASUS tablet. ZenPad S 8.0 was launched last summer, and the time to launch new products this year is a little bit advanced. ASUS has officially added two products to the ZenPad product line: ZenPad 10 (Z300M) and ZenPad 8 (Z380M), preloaded with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Since the two tablets are mid-range products, it is estimated that the pricing will not be too high.

Both ZenPads have installed the MediaTek MT8163 quad-core processor, which is really interesting because the previous ZenPad was installed with the Intel Atom processor. The tablet is equipped with a 1280 x 800 display, Bluetooth 4.0, WI-FI, a 2 megapixel front camera and a 5 megapixel rear camera, a microSD card reader, and a USB port and audio interface.

The two new ZenPad screens have different screen sizes. The ZenPad 8 has an 8.2-inch screen and the ZenPad 10 has a 9.9-inch screen. The weight of the two plates is also different. The ZenPad 10 weighs 1.1 pounds (about 500 grams) and the ZenPad 8 has only 12.3 ounces (about 350 grams). Their batteries are also different. The large ZenPad is equipped with an 18-watt-hour battery and the small-size tablet is equipped with a 15.2-watt-hour battery.

As for the storage space, the ZenPad 10 has 16GB or 32GB of body storage, 2GB of storage, and the ZenPad 8 has 8GB or 16GB of storage space, and 1GB or 2GB of storage. ZenPad 8 starts at 178 US dollars (about 1170 yuan), ZenPad 10 starts at 223 US dollars (about 1463 yuan).

Please note that these two models are only midrange products. If you need a higher resolution display, you can choose ZenPad S 8.0 (Z580CA).
