Laser TVs with autofocus as standard will enter the user's field of vision in the near future

In the field of projection products, the auto-focus function can quickly present a clear picture to the user, so it is sought after by many users. At present, this function has almost become standard in the micro investment market. But I found that there is no laser TV with autofocus as standard on the market, why is that?

Cost or experience? Do Laser TVs Need Autofocus?

This also starts with the principle of autofocus. The projector will have a built-in database of distance and clarity. When the projection is turned on, the system will detect the distance between the lens and the wall by infrared or optical ranging methods. Distance, and then use the table lookup method to find the most suitable position in the database, at this time, the stepping motor will drive the zoom projection lens to rotate to this position, so that the automatic focusing is completed.

However, the laser TV uses a reflective ultra-short focus technology, and the image is reflected by a curved reflector. The projected picture is diagonally below the lens, so it is difficult to apply the current autofocus technology, and it is difficult to achieve the effect of fast autofocusing like a front projection projector.

Laser TVs are bulky and have very fixed usage scenarios, but that doesn't mean laser TVs don't need autofocus. There are two reasons. First of all, although many laser TVs are used in relatively fixed scenarios, it is inevitable that the machine will be moved in daily use, or the position of the machine will be accidentally touched. At this time, the effect of autofocus will be revealed.

The second is thermal defocus. Due to the principle of projection, the clarity of the picture will always change a little after a laser TV is used for a long time, so the laser TV occasionally needs a slight focusing operation. Many friends will think that the problem of not having autofocus will be very troublesome. So from these two points of view, the laser TV should also have an autofocus function.

Laser TVs are currently only equipped with manual focus levers

Due to the difficulty of implementation, the current laser TVs are not equipped with autofocus function. But laser TV users also need this feature. If there is demand, there will be a market. The author believes that with the advancement of technology, laser TVs with standard autofocus will enter the user's field of vision in the near future.
