Hubei has used electricity as a "grass" early in winter

The reporter learned from the Hubei Provincial Electric Power Company that the company is actively swapping hydropower with the East China Grid and China Southern Power Grid. At present, more than 700 million kilowatt hours of electricity have been replaced for the winter.

It is understood that since the beginning of this year, due to multiple factors such as rapid growth in electricity usage, insufficient water supply, and tight supply of power coal, Hubei’s power supply pressure has increased, and it has faced a period of time-consuming power supply shortages.

In order to ensure the orderly supply of winter power to peak power grids in Hubei Province, the Hubei Provincial Electric Power Company has carried out early analysis and forecast of winterization of incoming coal and electric power from the early August, and put forward relevant suggestions and countermeasures. At the same time, it actively reported to the provincial government and the State Grid Corporation of China. Since August, Hubei Provincial Electric Power Company has urged the strengthening of the coordination of coal-fired power generation and strengthened the procurement, storage and transportation of coal for power generation in the province. At the same time, it requested the State Grid Corporation of China to give priority support and increase external power support.
