Oculus, the virtual reality (VR) company of Facebook, announced that the first VR head-mounted display "Oculus Rift" targeting the consumer market will be launched next year and will be paired with the Microsoft Xbox One game controller.
Oculus held a press conference in San Francisco on the 11th to showcase Rift's hardware design and launch the game software for the first time.
Oculus also confirmed that Microsoft has been selected as a software and hardware partner. The new Rift head-mounted display will use Microsoft's Windows 10 and Xbox One as its native execution platform and will be sold with the Xbox One controller.
