StarVR is a commercial VR head-up developed by the Swedish game studio Starbreeze and Acer. This time at the Acer conference's Next@Acer event, they showed some new contents of StarVR.
Bo Anderson, the head of StarVR, said that since the launch of this head-mounted display, they have made significant upgrades to StarVR in the last six months, including improved resolution.
StarVR's content was developed in collaboration with different developers. Starbreeze's Global VR Director, Brooks Brown, introduced us to the following sections:
Presenz, The Raft, Hero, Ape-X, Project Golem, Elementerra
Presenz is a technology developed by the Belgian company Nozon for immersive cinema, which allows interactive parallax in VR, providing high quality CG and an immersive feel.
The Raft is a thrilling adventure experience. The developer is the RED Interactive Agency and tells the story of explorers looking for ancient treasures.
Hero's developer is iNK Stories, a first-person rescue experience in which the player plays a rescue worker and enters the Syrian war zone.
Ape-X was developed by Lucky Hammers. The player plays a huge genetic mutation and hangs from a skyscraper to shoot down a drone.
Project Golem tells the story of fighting alien invasions.
Elementerra is a puzzle game in which after a catastrophic event, the player plays a godly role in assisting humans to rebuild the planet.
