HSH 8927 is a new two-channel audio circuit from PHILPS. It has an input squelch function inside, no current impulse on / off, and overload and short circuit protection. It is suitable for the matching of home theater Hi-Fi amplifiers.
The IC is a single-row 9-pin package, its main electrical parameters: the operating voltage is typically ± 16V, the limit is ± 20V, the output power is 30W per channel on a 4Ω load when VCC = ± 18V, and the BTL connection can reach 80W ; Total distortion is 0.15%; stereo channel separation is 65dB; quiescent current is 70mA; closed-loop voltage gain is 31dB. Pin functions: ①R channel in-phase input terminal; ② R inverting input terminal; ③ internal midpoint potential; ④ R channel output; ⑤ power supply negative electrode; ⑥ L channel output; ⑦ power supply positive electrode; ⑧L inverting input terminal; ⑨L in-phase input end. Figure 1 is a simple dual-channel power amplifier circuit of HSH98927. It uses dual power supply and is suitable for connecting to a desktop recorder. If it is connected to a VCD audio signal, a pre-driver amplifier circuit must be added. If you need more output power, you can use the BTL circuit in Figure 2, the output power can reach 80W. IC1 is an integrated 5-band equalizer. Adjusting each potentiometer can enhance or attenuate audio in the frequency bands of 70Hz, 330Hz, 1kHz, 3.3kHz, 10kHz.
Matters needing attention: 1. The IC must be equipped with heat sinks before power-on; 2. 2. The metal heat sink must not touch the positive or negative pole of the power cord, otherwise it will destroy the device; 3. To have enough output power, the power of the power transformer should be greater than the output power of the power amplifier, and the bridge rectifier filter is used.
