Sony: PS Vita sells 1.2 million units more than expected

March 1 news, according to foreign media reports, Sony recently stated that since the launch of the PlayStaion Vita has reached 1.2 million units worldwide sales, exceeding expectations.

In December 2011, Vita was first sold in Japan and other Asian markets. Last week, Vita began listing in North America, Latin America, Europe and other regions. Sony did not disclose sales figures for various regions, so it was not clear that sales in the first week of listing.

Sony also announced that 2 million copies of the game have been sold for PS Vita.

On the other hand, Sony's competitor Nintendo 3DS sold 1.5 million units in December last year, but this figure did not reach expectations.
