Part I: Survey Overview

1 Beijing Union Hospital:

Established in 1921, Peking Union Medical College Hospital is a large-scale three-level general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. It was published in the “Best Hospital Rankings in China” published by Fudan University Hospital Management Research Institute in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Ranked first in the list for three consecutive years. At present, the hospital has 2 hospital districts with a total construction area of ​​530,000 square meters. The new clinic building will operate in October 2012 and the new surgical building will start trial operation in May 2013. 2 Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University :

Its predecessor was the Peiping Private Children's Hospital, founded in 1942 by the founder of modern pediatric medicine in China. It has a history of 71 years. Beijing Children's Hospital is a pediatric medical base integrating medical treatment, scientific research, teaching and health care. It is the largest tertiary pediatric hospital in China. It covers an area of ​​7000.26 square meters and a building area of ​​120,000 square meters.

Use light source: energy saving lamp, fluorescent tube, grille lamp, halogen lamp

Lighting method: direct lighting, indirect lighting, accent lighting

3 Beijing Electric Power Hospital:

The State Grid Beijing Electric Power Hospital was established under the personal care of Premier Li Peng in 1989. It is a three-level general hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention and health management. The new hospital building was officially opened on October 8, 2013. It has 26 clinical medical technology departments and 49 majors. It has formed the largest tertiary hospital in Fengtai District with complete disciplines.

4 Peking University People's Hospital Qinghe District:

Founded in 1918, Peking University People's Hospital is the first comprehensive Western medicine hospital built and managed by Chinese people. It was originally named “Beijing Central Hospital”. The Peking University People's Hospital Qinghe District covers an area of ​​20,000 square meters and a building area of ​​75,000 square meters. The Qinghe Branch of the hospital was officially put into use on January 3, 2014.

Located in Huinanguan Road, Huilongguan Town, Changping District, it is a three-level general hospital in the city. The hospital was officially put into trial operation on January 28, 2013. The total construction area is 70,000 square meters. It has a 4-storey door emergency building, an 11-story ward building and an independent infectious disease building and teaching building. Dean Tian Wei’s “sincere, refined, and meticulous” training was engraved on the cultural wall on the side of the hospital’s door.

Part II: Analysis of LED light source usage

Among the five hospitals surveyed, four of them were newly built in the past three years. Except for the electric power hospitals, which use LED light sources, the use rate of LEDs in other hospitals is very low.

Comprehensive overall lighting effect, in the power hospitals more use of LED-assisted lighting, the overall effect is relatively comfortable, bright, lighting methods also break the traditional way, the effect is good.

Part III: Hospital Light Environment Requirements

1, hospital lighting should reflect love, this point is a consensus, but often it is easy to be ignored.

2, try to avoid glare, especially in the waiting area or ward area where the flow of people is large.

3. Some hospitals are now built in the suburbs, and the building area is relatively large. Some new hospitals can make full use of natural light and combine with artificial light to make the overall light environment more comfortable.

4, lighting as an indispensable part of the hospital space, its guiding role can not be ignored, the use of light source layout or light source shape to play the role of guidance, instructions.

At present, in some newly-built hospitals or hospitals that have been renovated in the past two years, the overall lighting effect has been much more innovative than before, with more emphasis on patient comfort and professional lighting in the working space. At the same time, some new residential areas have tried the application of LED lighting products, and many applications are in some indirect lighting. Because the frequency of hospital reconstruction and new construction is low, the lighting application of new hospitals will have a greater impact on the future hospital light environment.
