On October 25th, the National Remanufacturing Demonstration Project “National Motor High-Efficiency Remanufacturing Demonstration Project†was launched in Shanghai, marking a substantial step in China's industrial energy conservation during the “12th Five-Year Plan†period. Just one week before the start of the demonstration project, relevant departments also held a seminar on energy-saving technologies in the motor system in Beijing in an effort to promote the implementation of the energy-saving engineering of the motor system.
Throughout the past two years, there have been many similar activities for high-efficiency motors. This is sufficient to illustrate two points: First, it shows that China attaches great importance to improving motor efficiency; Second, high-efficiency motors are used less in China, and they need to be further promoted.
Our country attaches great importance to improving motor efficiency due to the high energy consumption of motor products used in China. As a power source for mechanical equipment, electric motors are widely used in various fields of national economic construction and consume a great amount of power. The data shows that the total installed capacity of China's electrical machinery has reached 400 million kilowatts, and the annual power consumption has reached 1.2 trillion kilowatt-hours. The power consumption accounts for about 60% of the national industrial electricity consumption, and accounts for 50% of the country's total electricity consumption. Taking Shanghai as an example, the installed capacity of industrial systems is about 20 million kilowatts, and the annual power consumption is about 59 billion kwh, which accounts for about 75% of the power consumption of industrial systems.
However, the motor used in our country is generally an ordinary motor, and its efficiency is greatly improved. At present, China's Y-series motors account for 90% of the total. This type of motor was developed in the 1990s, and its average efficiency is only 87.3%, while the efficiency of the latest series of motors is as high as 91.7%. Compared with developed countries, the average efficiency of China's motors is 3 to 5 percentage points, and the operating efficiency is 10 to 20 percentage points lower. If we can make up for this 3 to 5 percentage points, China can save more than 50 billion kilowatt hours of electricity each year.
The motor consumes a large amount of electricity, and its efficiency is not high. This is the reason that our country attaches great importance to improving motor efficiency. Although everyone has begun to pay attention to it, in the promotion of high-efficiency motors, relevant units still need to work harder.
The use of high-efficiency motors is too small. There are only 30 to 50 companies in China that have the ability to design, produce, and test high-efficiency motors. The market for high-efficiency motors only accounts for 10% to 15% of all markets, and 90% of these high-efficiency motors are also used for export.
How to add more energy? First and foremost, let users recognize the economic benefits of using high-efficiency motors. Market research shows that the sales prices of high-efficiency motors and ordinary motors are 70 yuan/kw to 90 yuan/kw and 40 yuan/kw respectively. Many users think that using high-efficiency motors is too costly. In reality, it is not. If viewed from the perspective of a full-life cycle, the cost of purchasing a high-efficiency motor is apportioned to every kilowatt per year, much cheaper than an ordinary motor. Therefore, it is imperative for industrial motor users to have a deep understanding of the economic benefits of energy savings in motor systems.
In addition, good high-efficiency motors rely mainly on imports, which leads to high prices, which is one of the reasons for promotion difficulties. This requires the state to increase its support for domestic motor manufacturing companies, so that domestic products as soon as possible to form a market competitiveness.
Incremental encoders provide speed, direction and relative position feedback by generating a stream of binary pulses proportional to the rotation of a motor or driven shaft. Lander offers both optical and magnetic incremental encoders in 4 mounting options: shafted with coupling, hollow-shaft, hub-shaft or bearingless. Single channel incremental encoders can measure speed which dual channel or quadrature encoders (AB) can interpret direction based on the phase relationship between the 2 channels. Indexed quadrature encoders (ABZ) are also available for homing location are startup.
